PLATEAU ROADS REHABILITATION HAS ACHIEVED APPRECIABLE SUCCESS - DAVOU

The General Manager of the Plateau State Roads Maintenance Agency Engr Luka Davou has lauded the Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Esq's road revolution through the rehabilitation of major road arteries across the state which has drastically reduced commuting time and travel across the

He  spoke after the  budget defence/discussion in the conference hall of the ministry of Budget and Economic Planning at the Joseph Gomwalk Secretariat Jos, Nigeria on Wednesday 30 September 2026.

"We have tried to select critical areas, you know how the roads were before His Excellency came. We have identified and fixed them. Travel times have been reduced, cost of traveling has been reduced," he said.

He said the impact is visible in the transport sector as TIN City Metro buses can now ply areas they previously avoided due to bad roads.

They used to tell us we cannot go there because roads are not good enough. We have fixed all these ones. People now enjoy affordable transportation and the buses can last, he said.

Engr. Luka Davou admitted the road network is vast and was neglected for years, but assured the agency is touching as many roads as possible to ease movement of goods and people.

Reacting to critics who say Mutfwang has not done enough for, he said they are being mischievous.

It is unfortunate. What we are doing can be seen by all and sundry. You don't need a professional to tell you this road has been fixed and is now motorable. People are seeing, except you just want to be mischievous,  he noted.
